Growing company in New York, NY is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is a full-time opportunity supporting the finance and accounting department, and working closely with the Controller. The position offers a compensation range up to 85K+ benefits and bonus.

The ideal Accounts Receivable Specialist holds the following:

• 3+ years of accounts receivable experience
• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, and similar
• Technically savvy
• Excel proficiency

The day to day responsibilities are as followed but not limited to :

• Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and issued on time.
• Update billing information and verify pricing, PO numbers, and contract terms.
• Record incoming payments (checks, ACH, credit card, wire).
• Reconcile discrepancies between payments received and invoice amounts.
• Monitor aging reports to identify past-due accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts weekly or monthly.
• Investigate and resolve short payments, unapplied payments, and chargebacks.
• Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly A/R aging reports.
• Respond to customer questions regarding billing or account status.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with audits related to revenue and receivables.
