Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the movement of goods, materials, and equipment from suppliers to customers or job sites. This role ensures timely deliveries, accurate documentation, cost control, and effective communication between internal teams, vendors, carriers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics operations including shipping, receiving, routing, and scheduling deliveries

• Track shipments and monitor transit times to ensure on-time delivery

• Communicate with carriers, freight companies, vendors, and internal departments to resolve delays or issues

• Prepare and review shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery confirmations

• Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment tracking, and inventory documentation

• Schedule pickups and deliveries based on operational needs and customer requirements

• Identify and resolve transportation issues, shortages, or discrepancies

• Monitor freight costs and assist with cost-control initiatives

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations

• Support inventory control by coordinating inbound and outbound materials

• Provide logistics status updates to management and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or business preferred

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, transportation, or supply chain coordination

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics or ERP systems

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
