We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice, handling case administration, court filings, and client-facing responsibilities while ensuring accuracy, deadlines, and exceptional service.

This is a fully onsite role in Sarasota, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and manage litigation documents in Florida State and Federal courts, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlines

  • Coordinate hearings, depositions, client meetings, and attorney calendars while maintaining accurate case timelines

  • Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files, correspondence, and records throughout the lifecycle of matters

  • Support billing and expense processes, including tracking billable activity, reviewing narratives, and assisting with client invoicing

Requirements

  • 5+ years of litigation experience in a Florida law firm as a paralegal and/or legal assistant

  • Strong knowledge of court procedures, e-filing systems, and litigation deadlines in State and Federal courts

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft, proofread, and manage legal documents

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and law firm case management and billing systems (experience with iManage, Aderant, SmartTime, or Relativity a plus)
