Title: Grants Accounting/Budget Analyst

Salary: Up to $80,000

Summary:
The Budget Analyst will assist in preparing, modifying, and disseminating budgets for sites and governmental funding agencies, ensuring accurate and timely input into the accounting system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build detailed line-item budgets annually in collaboration with Program teams.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations during budget creation.
  • Modify budgets in response to funding or spending changes.
  • Submit close-out budgets to maximize funder allocations.
  • Maintain updated accounting records and complete budget files.
  • Serve as liaison between funding agencies, Program, and Revenue teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of accounting and budget preparation experience.
  • Experience with government contracts and fiscal management (e.g., NYC DHS, DOHMH, HRA, HPD, OTDA; NYS OCFS, OMH; HUD, VA).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
