We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Licensed NJ Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations with a strong focus on medication preparation and compounding. This role works closely with pharmacists and nursing staff to ensure safe, accurate, and compliant patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, fill, and compound medications using standard formulas and processes, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
- Maintain the pharmacy in compliance with USP <797> standards, including cleaning, testing, maintenance, and re-certification of the prep room, ante room, and clean room.
- Maintain inventory levels of medications and supplies needed by both pharmacy and nursing teams.
- Provide drug usage reports to pharmaceutical partners as requested.
- Coordinate pharmacy services with nursing staff to ensure safe and timely patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance and patient safety programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist.
Schedule & Location:
- Fully onsite, Monday–Friday, 9:00– 5:00
- Temporary 6-month assignment with possible extension
- Location: Totowa, NJ
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
- CPhT certification preferred.
- Compounding experience required.
- Sterile compounding certification preferred.
- Sterile compounding experience strongly preferred.
