Ascendo Resources is partnering with a reputable North Carolina based law firm that is  seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant / Litigation Assistant to provide legal and administrative support to attorneys handling active litigation matters in their office in Raleigh, North Carolina.  

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in a law firm, legal services, or professional office environment who are looking to grow within the legal field.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents, including affidavits, complaints, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Assist with litigation support, including document preparation, filing, and maintaining case records
  • Communicate with court clerks, court personnel, local counsel, and opposing attorneys
  • Track court deadlines, filings, and case-related tasks to ensure timely compliance
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the lawsuit lifecycle, from case opening through resolution
  • Utilize internal systems and legal technology to prepare and distribute case documents
  • Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal assistant, litigation assistant, paralegal, or administrative support role
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the litigation process, court filings, and legal terminology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team

This will be a fully onsite role.
