Our client, a growing organization within the logistics and transportation sector is seeking an experienced Traffic Coordinator to support full container load (FCL) operations at its South Florida headquarters. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and working closely with carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure efficient and compliant transportation processes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and strong communication across stakeholders. This position plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule full container load (FCL) shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery

Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customers to confirm shipment details and resolve issues

Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and required customs paperwork

Track shipments throughout the transportation cycle and provide regular status updates

Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, sales, and customer service to address discrepancies and optimize shipment flow

Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and internal policies

Proactively identify potential delays or issues and escalate as appropriate

Maintain accurate shipment records, costs, and carrier performance data for reporting and analysis
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or higher preferred)

At least 2 years of experience in logistics, freight coordination, or a related field

Working knowledge of full container load (FCL) shipping processes and terminology

Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office applications

Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience in ocean freight or international shipping environments

Familiarity with customs regulations and import/export compliance

Ability to communicate in Spanish or another language commonly used in the shipping industry

Logistics or freight-forwarding certifications (e.g., Certified Logistics Associate or similar)
