Credit and Collections Analyst

Position Summary

The Credit and Collections Analyst is responsible for managing credit risk and collections activities for assigned customer accounts. This role evaluates financial information, assesses creditworthiness, establishes and monitors credit limits, and ensures timely collection of receivables while supporting business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze financial data from multiple sources to assess customer credit risk.

  • Perform detailed financial analysis and make recommendations regarding credit limits, payment terms, and account status.

  • Monitor accounts for delinquency and initiate collection efforts to obtain payment status and resolve outstanding balances.

  • Determine appropriate next steps for past-due accounts, including escalation or referral to third-party collection services when necessary.

  • Partner with internal teams to resolve credit and collection issues efficiently.

  • Maintain professional relationships with external financing partners and other stakeholders to support timely payment and proper account management.

  • Communicate unresolved issues to leadership and provide recommendations for resolution.

  • Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

  • Support continuous improvement of credit and collection processes.


Qualifications

  • College degree preferred.

  • Several years of experience in commercial credit and collections.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

  • Solid data analysis and financial statement interpretation skills.

  • Knowledge of liens and other security instruments.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
