A respected, client-centered law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to support attorneys and guide clients through various immigration processes. The Immigration Paralegal will play a key role in case preparation from intake through filing and post-filing follow-up, ensuring deadlines are met and clients receive clear, timely communication in both English and Spanish.


About the Role

The Immigration Paralegal will collaborate closely with attorneys and clients to prepare, organize, and manage immigration matters. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client intake interviews and maintain ongoing communication throughout the case lifecycle

  • Prepare immigration forms and assemble supporting documentation packets, including organizing exhibits and evidence

  • Draft client declarations and legal correspondence using templates and attorney guidance

  • Track and manage critical deadlines, including filings, requests for evidence (RFEs), biometrics appointments, and other scheduled matters

  • Maintain electronic and paper case files, ensuring documents are complete, consistent, and properly labeled

  • Coordinate translations and gather supporting documentation from clients and third parties

  • Assist with filing submissions and conduct post-filing follow-up as needed

  • Support attorneys with administrative and case management tasks to ensure efficient workflow


Required Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)

  • Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant; immigration law experience strongly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively

  • Professional and empathetic client service skills, with the ability to support individuals navigating complex and often stressful legal processes

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; familiarity with legal or case management software preferred

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism


Preferred Attributes

  • Experience preparing family-based, employment-based, humanitarian, or removal defense immigration filings

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and high-quality client service
