About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Assistant to support a small, high-performing recertification team in East New York (Brooklyn). The team is currently managing a file audit and needs support keeping documentation organized, accurate, and audit-ready. This is a hands-on, administrative role where independent work, proactivity, and strong organizational skills are essential.

You’ll join a small team of 3 LIHTC Recertification Specialists, assisting with day-to-day operations while ensuring files and records are maintained to the highest standard.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the recertification team

  • Act as liaison between the property team and third-party lease-up partners.

  • Obtain, review, and verify required tenant documentation via phone, email, or in-person

  • Assist with file audits to ensure completeness and compliance

  • Purge, organize, and maintain records and file cabinets


Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of paperwork

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently

  • Quick learner and proactive approach to tasks


Work Environment

  • Office located in an apartment-style building

  • Small team of 3

  • Independent work, with support from team

  • Customer service is important when interacting with tenants
