Location: Jacksonville, FL
Schedule: Hybrid – Remote Monday & Friday | Onsite Tuesday–Thursday
Pay: $19.50/hour
Type: Contract (Potential for Permanent Placement)

Position Overview

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join a growing team in Jacksonville. This hybrid role supports retail business billing operations and is ideal for someone who thrives in Excel-heavy environments, enjoys problem-solving, and can manage high-volume invoicing with accuracy.

This is a temporary opportunity with potential for permanent placement due to upcoming internal transitions.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Create and distribute accurate client invoices in a timely manner

  • Review billing details provided by Business Managers (via SharePoint and email) and generate work orders for client billing

  • Utilize Excel to manipulate, analyze, and prepare spreadsheets for upload into Oracle for invoice creation

  • Research and apply cash payments to clear outstanding invoices

  • Request and process client refunds when necessary

  • Provide billing and payment research support to internal teams including branch employees, corporate analysts, and revenue management

  • Maintain billing templates to ensure accurate client and vendor information

  • Manage event setup, invoicing, and closure

  • Partner with field teams to ensure all revenue and expenses are complete before closing events

  • Assist with monthly reporting

  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • 1+ year of work experience 

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred

  • Basic Excel skills required (role is Excel-heavy)

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Highly detail-oriented, trainable, and engaged

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
