World gaming company with over a billion dollars in revenue is seeking an Accounting Manager to work closely with the VP of Finance. This is a hybrid opportunity located in Queens, NY 11420. The Accounting Manager will work on team of 12 and manage activities of accounting, accounts payable, payroll, racing receivables, operating/capital budgets, treasury manager and revenue verification, AML compliance.

The ideal Accounting Manager holds the following experience:

• Five (5) years’ experience in an accounting/financial management area with three (3) years in a supervisory capacity. Industry – ideally coming from private firm experience.
• Responsible for monthly management reporting and quarterly financial reporting.
• BA/BS in Accounting or related field; CPA designation or MBA
• Experience in corporate tax and other state tax is preferable. Tax experience ; knowledge of sales and use tax and corporate tax - plus.

The day to day responsibilities are as follows:

• Safeguards assets and adhere to the Company’s Policies and Procedures.
• Directs the coordination of the annual budget process for all operating subsidiaries to include developing procedures and guidelines for company executives.
• Directs the preparation and distribution of monthly consolidating and consolidates financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Develops policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure efficiency and proper controls.
• Responsible for all treasury management functions of all companies including the parent and all subsidiaries.
• Oversees the daily AML activity by working closely with the Financial Gaming and Control Manager.
• Oversees AML training by working closely with the Financial Gaming and Control Manager.
• Reviews all legally required Federal and State tax returns and filings within required deadlines.
• Directs the analysis, review and presentation of quarterly and year-end financial results to senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Works closely with external auditors and attorneys to complete required external reports efficiently.
