Location: New York, NY (SoHo) – Fully Onsite

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (35-hour work week)
Pay Rate: $20

Permanent Salary: $24/hr

Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm (approx. 4 months before permanent conversion)

A well-known fashion brand based in SoHo is seeking a Junior Operations / Office Assistant to support their operations and office management team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced fashion environment and contribute to a variety of operational projects.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking on both administrative and hands-on responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • Fully onsite office in SoHo

  • Open office layout with collaborative team seating

  • Casual, creative environment with visible merchandise and inventory in the workspace

  • Small, lean team environment (approximately 7 employees) with a strong team-first mentality

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Office Support

  • Assist with day-to-day office operations and administrative projects

  • Order and manage office supplies

  • Coordinate with building management and vendors (cleaning services, security access, etc.)

  • Support internal operational processes and special projects

Inventory & Logistics

  • Receive, check in, and organize incoming merchandise

  • Pack and prepare clothing inventory for shipping

  • Scan and track inventory items and maintain records

  • Prepare inventory documentation and reports

  • Upload and format inventory data in Excel

  • Create purchase orders and coordinate through internal systems and external portals

Financial / Administrative Support

  • Review and organize invoices

  • Prepare documentation and purchase orders for accounting

  • Maintain accurate operational and inventory records

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of administrative, operations, retail, or office support experience preferred

  • Comfortable handling inventory and light physical tasks (lifting boxes, packing shipments)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Able to manage responsibilities independently while supporting a small team
