Maintenance Technician (MTAK)

As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to, set up equipment as needed, the repair of equipment, performing preventative maintenance, ordering replacement parts for equipment, repair leaks of all kinds. This position requires strict adherence to safety policies and procedures and a commitment to customer quality. This position requires flexibility; must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
•    Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills for the following disciplines
•    General print reading
•    Air systems
•    Water systems
•    Air compressors
•    Chilled water systems
•    Suction and pressure-style powder conveying systems
•    Pumps and valve rebuilds
•    Shaft alignment including bearing installation and setting clearances
•    Perform preventative maintenance
•    Install safety devices on equipment and maintain those devices.
•    Order parts as needed.
•    Maintain repair parts inventory.
Qualifications
Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills with respect to the following:
•    Electrical print reading
•    Relay logic troubleshooting and repair
•    Instrumentation calibration and repair
•    Variable frequency drive troubleshooting/replacement/programming
•    Computer controlled manufacturing equipment
Education/ Experience:
•    High school diploma or equivalent;
•    2-year technical school degree desired
•    Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
 
•    Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed
Physical Requirements:
Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, drive a motor vehicle and/or light construction equipment, fork trucks, platform lifts etc; lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment; able to read printed materials and a computer screen
