Medical Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist

Location: Miami, FL (Town & Country – Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM


Overview

We are seeking a Medical Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to support a fast-paced healthcare revenue cycle team. This role focuses on insurance follow-up, resolving denied claims, and ensuring timely payment of outstanding balances.


Responsibilities

  • Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and AR balances

  • Review and resolve denied or unpaid claims

  • Work EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) and post payments

  • Communicate with insurance companies and patients as needed

  • Research discrepancies and resolve billing issues

  • Maintain accurate documentation and account updates


Requirements

  • 2+ years of medical billing, AR, or collections experience

  • Experience with insurance follow-up, EOBs, and denials

  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers preferred

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
