Ascendo Resources is partnering with a wonderful law firm client on their search for a Litigation Paralegal for their office in Raleigh, NC.  

This is a unique opportunity that is open to candidates based in Charlotte that would be able to support their Raleigh, NC office remotely.  

This position will support the firms thriving and fast-paced litigation group in Raleigh, NC.  

Qualifications:

 • Four-year degree and/or certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Review various legal documents; calendar and track deadlines

• Assist with discovery, including drafting responses, coordinating document production, and following up on outstanding items

• Interview clients and witnesses; summarize case facts and discovery responses

• Request and review records

• Prepare deposition notices, subpoenas, and assist with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation

• Prepare medical chronologies and case summaries

• Assist with settlement documents and ensure execution and filing

• Meet monthly billing expectations

• Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff
