We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join a professional law firm office environment in Downtown Orlando, Florida. This is a full time, onsite position supporting attorneys with a variety of legal and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys
  • Open new cases, including case setup and conducting conflicts checks
  • Participate in the client billing process, including assisting attorneys with entering billing narratives and making edits
  • Track billable tasks and time entries
  • Calendar billing deadlines and ensure timely delivery of invoices
  • Prepare and deliver client bills in electronic and paper formats
  • Schedule state court hearings in accordance with court requirements
  • Maintain and manage attorney and case calendars
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and internal staff
  • Handle multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines accurately

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal assistant or legal administrative support role
  • Experience with case opening, conflicts checks, and billing support
  • Knowledge of and ability to assist with attorney billing processes
  • Strong organizational, time?management, and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and i-Manage
  • Ability to work onsite in downtown Orlando, FL
