Title: Quantitative Risk Consultant

Location: Mid Town NY – Hybrid, Minimum 3 days/week in office. Monday and Thursdays are mandatory.

Duration: 4 months contract

Rate: $50/hr W2

You must be physically located in the NY metropilotan area. 

We are looking for a quantitative risk consultant that will contribute to the operation, maintenance, and development of regular and ad hoc risk reports in a is fast-paced and collaborative environment.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, highly organized, and adapts quickly.

The ideal candidate will have a quantitative and data analysis background, experience in Python and SQL, knowledge of financial markets, and outstanding analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and run regular and ad hoc market risk reports; Investigate and resolve operational issues under tight timelines

• Develop reports and tools based on large financial datasets from disparate sources

• Prepare comprehensive documentation of developments and revisions

• Perform ex-ante and ex-post portfolio risk, performance and attribution analysis as needed • Prepare presentation materials used for committee meetings as needed

• Collaborate with and support investment, products, and operations teams on risk and performance analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science and Engineering

• 3+ years of experience in a risk, quantitative, or financial data focused role within financial services or asset management

• Proficiency in Python Programming and SQL required; experience with Tableau or equivalent is a plus

• A highly collaborative team player

• Exposure to industry's standard risk models/platforms such as Aladdin, Barra, FactSet, and Bloomberg PORT is a plus

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly
