Position: Technical Control Specialist
Location: Miami, FL
Schedule: 6:30am – 3pm (on-site)
Overview
We are seeking a Technical Control Specialist to support production and quality operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will focus on technical review, compliance, training, and process improvement initiatives across the Production Department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support production teams to ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO, and other regulatory standards
• Perform technical review of batch records, logbooks, and equipment documentation
• Assist with deviation investigations, CAPAs, and non-conformance documentation
• Partner with Quality to support customer complaint investigations and resolutions
• Develop and enhance training programs and manufacturing training manuals
• Train new and existing employees on production processes and GMP procedures
• Support technology transfer of new products from Product Development to Production
• Assist with SOP development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Track and trend technical metrics and provide insights for process improvements
• Coordinate audit follow-ups and support internal and external audits
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve technical and operational issues
• Utilize ERP and internal systems to support technical operations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Engineering, Laboratory Sciences, or related field required
• 1+ year of experience in a GMP-regulated environment (biotech, pharmaceutical, or biologics)
• Experience with laboratory equipment and quality systems
• Strong understanding of batch records, deviations, and compliance processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
