Ascendo Resources is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for a full-time, hybrid role. Salary range is up to $120,000.

 

Our client is a a well-established non-profit organization focused on housing and community development. We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This is a high-impact role with visibility across leadership, overseeing financial operations tied to housing affiliates and development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee month-end close, GL, and financial reporting across multiple housing entities
  • Manage bank recs, journal entries, and intercompany transactions (DTDF)
  • Review and analyze financials, budget vs. actuals, and variance reporting
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
  • Maintain audit-ready financials and support external audits
  • Oversee construction accounting activities within Yardi
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff (after initial ramp-up)

 

What They’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Prior management or supervisory experience
  • Strong GL, reporting, and audit exposure
  • Experience with Yardi (preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a non-profit environment (experience a plus, not required)
  • Ability to work independently and own processes
