Job Title: Customer Service Representative Location: Tampa, FL Pay: $22–$24/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Position Overview
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to manage the end-to-end customer experience by accurately processing customer data, maintaining strong internal and external relationships, and resolving issues efficiently. This role plays a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer service tickets, phone calls, and Microsoft Teams messages in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide full-cycle support to customers, sales representatives, and service teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve customer issues and meet client needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within the ERP system
- Act as an account advocate, managing complex inquiries requiring high-touch service
- Proactively communicate updates, delays, and important information to customers
- Investigate and resolve billing concerns (shipment tracking, pricing discrepancies, credit memos, etc.)
- Support order entry, quoting, and follow-up on credit hold orders
- Identify and remove barriers impacting product quality, delivery timelines, and customer satisfaction
- Generate and review customer-specific reports for accuracy
- Recommend improvements to enhance the overall customer experience
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience handling inbound phone calls
- Comfortable with computers and learning new systems (including AI-based tools)
Preferred Qualifications
- B2B customer service experience
- Experience in manufacturing, installation, maintenance, or repair environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems (order entry, quoting, returns)
- Experience with ticketing systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong time management skills
