Workers' Compensation Attorney

Location: Onsite - Coral Gables, Florida

Base Salary: $130,000 + Performance Bonuses

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney who is an active member of the Florida Bar to join a law firm on an onsite basis in Coral Gables, Florida. The ideal candidate will manage a full caseload of workers' compensation matters, deliver high-quality legal representation, and contribute to the firm's continued growth through strong case results and client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a full caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials before Judges of Compensation Claims
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and medical providers
  • Develop case strategies to maximize outcomes and efficiently resolve claims
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and case documentation
  • Meet or exceed annual net fee performance goals

Qualifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar (required)
  • Experience practicing Florida workers' compensation law
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases independently and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work onsite in Coral Gables, Florida

Compensation & Bonus Structure

  • Base Salary: $130,000 annually
  • Production Bonus:
    • $5,000 bonus for every $200,000 in net fees collected within the calendar year
    • $20,000 additional end-of-year bonus if net fees exceed $1.2 million annually
