Ascendo Resources is currently seeking an AR/Bookkeeper for a hybrid, direct-hire role. Salary range is up to $85,000 with full benefits. 

Our client is a family-owned real estate firm with over a century of experience. The company oversees a broad portfolio of commercial, residential, and medical properties in the New York Tri-State area, Florida, and across the country. This position reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable:
- Daily cash application (checks, wires, ACH)
- Additional billing, credits, and month-end adjustments
- Monthly reporting and collections management
- Security deposit processing and reconciliation
- Weekly cash reporting for managed properties
- New lease and renewal oversight for residential tenants
- Month-end and year-end AR close

Bookkeeping / Accounts Payable:
- Bank reconciliations and journal entries
- Vendor invoice entry and reconciliation
- Discrepancy resolution
- AP assistance as needed
- Coordination with external accountants
- New property file setup
- Tracking of tax, insurance, and utility bills

Requirements
- Experience in real estate accounting or property management required
- Proficiency with Yardi Breeze or other Yardi software strongly preferred
- Strong Excel skills required
- Comfortable with technology, including AI tools
- Collections and tenant relations experience
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team
