Medical Malpractice Paralegal (Onsite)

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Our recruiting firm is partnering with a well-established plaintiff-side law firm in Fort Lauderdale to identify a senior-level Medical Malpractice Paralegal for an onsite position. This opportunity is best suited for an experienced litigation professional who is comfortable handling complex medical negligence matters from intake through trial.

Position Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a paralegal working on medical malpractice litigation
  • Plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred
  • In-depth understanding of Florida medical malpractice law and civil procedure
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cases through pre-suit, discovery, motion practice, and trial
  • Advanced skills in reviewing, organizing, and summarizing large volumes of medical records
  • Experience coordinating with medical experts, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Strong drafting skills (pleadings, discovery, motions, trial materials)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys handling medical malpractice cases
  • Draft and file pleadings, discovery, and related court documents
  • Obtain, analyze, and summarize medical records and case materials
  • Prepare case timelines, medical chronologies, and trial binders
  • Manage calendaring, deadlines, and case workflow
  • Serve as a point of contact with clients, experts, and litigation stakeholders
