Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Business Development Manager for a full-time, hybrid role. 

Our client is a growing home care agency serving Northeast Ohio. We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to lead private pay client acquisition and business development efforts. This is a high-impact role at a lean, entrepreneurial organization where your work directly shapes revenue and growth. If you have home care industry experience and a proven ability to build referral networks, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute private pay client acquisition strategies targeting families, referral sources, and community partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with elder law attorneys, financial planners, senior living communities, concierge physicians, and other high-value referral partners
  • Conduct in-home consultations and coordinate with intake to convert leads into active clients
  • Represent the agency at community events, networking engagements, and senior-focused programs
  • Host and participate in educational workshops for families and professional partners
  • Track referral activity, lead pipelines, and conversion outcomes with regular reporting
  • Collaborate on targeted marketing campaigns and contribute insights on market trends and competitor positioning
  • Ensure all outreach and documentation aligns with applicable state and federal regulations

What We're Looking For

  • Home care industry experience is required
  • Proven ability to generate and close private pay business strongly preferred
  • Non-skilled labor and private pay market knowledge is a significant plus
  • Strong understanding of how families make home care decisions
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and sales skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems preferred

Preferred:

  • Established network within the senior services or healthcare community in Northeast Ohio
  • Experience working with high-income or concierge client populations
  • Ability to differentiate services on quality and outcomes—not just price

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $60,000 (higher for the right candidate)
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 10 days PTO (flexibility available)
  • M–F schedule — no nights, no weekends

Location

Candidates should reside in or near: Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Kent, or Medina, OH. Role is field-based with periodic in-office requirements in the Akron area.
