Position Overview

A well-established General Contractor in Jacksonville is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Construction Administrator to support their pre-construction and project operations team. This role is ideal for someone with administrative experience in the construction industry who has exposure to estimating, bid coordination, and certified payroll processes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Pre-Construction and Estimating team with administrative coordination
  • Assist with preparation of bid documents, proposals, and bid tracking reports
  • Review project billing documentation, subcontractor pay applications, and certified payroll forms
  • Maintain organized project records, spreadsheets, and digital documentation
  • Communicate professionally with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Manage confidential information with discretion and accuracy
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to office and project teams
  • Prioritize daily tasks to help ensure smooth office and project operations

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of administrative experience within construction or related industry
  • Experience supporting pre-construction, estimating, or proposal development processes
  • Basic understanding of Certified Payroll / Davis-Bacon reporting preferred
  • Experience with project billing or subcontractor pay applications is a plus
  • Federal construction experience beneficial
  • Familiarity with RMS/WAWF software is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
