Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Legal Assistant for a full-time, on-site role located in Woodbury, NY. Salary range is up to $75,000 a year with full benefits.

Our client is a national law firm with over 200 attorneys, specializing in labor & employment, commercial litigation, professional liability, insurance coverage & litigation, construction, homeowner associations, financial services, real estate, cyber security, maritime, shared economy, and more.

What You'll Do

You'll serve as a key support resource for a team of attorneys, handling the full range of litigation support tasks — from drafting pleadings, discovery, and correspondence to managing court filings (both traditional and e-filings), scheduling depositions and mediations, maintaining attorney calendars, and preparing trial materials. You'll also prepare Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities, handle Bates Stamping, coordinate with court staff, and keep the document management system organized and current.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
• Comfort working with confidential information and a high degree of professionalism
• The ability to juggle competing deadlines without missing a beat
• Solid knowledge of legal terminology and document review
