A growing personal injury law firm is seeking a workers' compensation attorney to join its expanding department. This role involves managing a complex, high-volume caseload across the full spectrum of the workers' compensation process — from pre-litigation through trial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cases day-to-day from pre-litigation through litigation, with a primary focus on the pre-suit phase and supporting senior attorneys once claims proceed to litigation
  • Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, demands, motions, and memoranda
  • Guide clients through each stage of the case process, providing clear communication and outstanding client service
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses, including coordinating conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing with the relevant State Bar
  • Minimum 2 years of workers' compensation experience
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation and litigation matters simultaneously
  • Superior written and oral advocacy skills with a client-first mindset
  • Self-motivated, career-driven professional with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Preferred: experience with wage and hour claims
