Our client, a leading healthcare organization serving both hospital and outpatient settings, is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join their team in Pinecrest, Florida. This role is responsible for supporting physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers by delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with clinical and administrative duties, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.
The ideal candidate is a professional team player with strong communication skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
Locations: Pinecrest and Coral Gables
Responsibilities

Prere patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.

Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately.

Assist providers with examinations and clinical procedures.

Perform administrative duties including appointment scheduling, patient registration, referrals, and medical record management.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Ensure exam rooms, equipment, and supplies are properly maintained and stocked.

Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.

Provide excellent customer service and compassionate patient support.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and healthcare staff.

Assist with care coordination and follow-up activities as needed.

Support departmental workflows in a high-volume clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
Education
-
High School Diploma, GED, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
Certifications/Licensure
Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications or licenses:

Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or registered through AMT)

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
-
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Paramedic
Required Certifications:
Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Understanding of healthcare regulatory guidelines and standards.

Previous experience in hospital, outpatient, ambulatory, or physician practice settings.
