General Utility Associate

Position Summary

The General Utility Associate plays a key role in supporting daily manufacturing and warehouse operations by ensuring production lines remain supplied, materials are handled efficiently, and products are packaged and staged correctly for shipment. This position assists with inventory tracking, quality inspections, housekeeping, and shipping activities to help maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support production operations by ensuring materials and supplies are readily available to production lines.
  • Remove finished products and work-in-process materials from production lines and place them onto pallets.
  • Accurately track and record production quantities throughout the shift.
  • Assist with documenting downtime events and identifying causes when production interruptions occur.
  • Verify that appropriate packaging materials are used based on product specifications.
  • Build and organize pallets to support ongoing production output.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Stage products in designated warehouse locations to support inventory accuracy and shipping requirements.
  • Perform routine quality inspections using visual checks and measuring tools as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following 6S and facility housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production and shipping goals are met.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math and counting skills for inventory and production tracking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
