Warehouse Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our distribution team. This position is responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping products while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inventory

• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.

• Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies.

• Accurately stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.

• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.

• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.

Order Fulfillment

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup.

• Verify order accuracy before shipment.

• Stage orders for delivery drivers and customer pickups.

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.

Warehouse Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.

• Assist with warehouse organization and inventory management projects.

• Support team members during peak workload periods.

Customer Service

• Assist walk-in customers with order pickups.

• Communicate professionally with drivers, vendors, and team members.

• Ensure customers receive accurate and complete orders.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• 1+ year of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience preferred.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk throughout the workday.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Basic computer and inventory system experience.

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred

• Forklift certification or previous forklift experience.

• Experience working in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, industrial, or construction supply distribution.

• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.

• CDL or delivery experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.

• Operate warehouse equipment safely.

• Work in varying warehouse temperatures.

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
