Diagnostic Technician I
About the Opportunity: A manufacturing client in Florence, KY is hiring Diagnostic Technicians to support electronic circuit board testing, troubleshooting, and repair in a production environment. This role focuses on in-circuit verification testing, diagnosing failures, and repairing electronic circuit board assemblies to the component level.
What You Will Do:
- Diagnose and repair electronic circuit board assemblies, including opens, shorts, and boundary scan failures.
- Use electronic test and measurement equipment to troubleshoot board-level issues.
- Read and apply schematics, BOMs, visuals, debug documentation, testing tools, and procedures.
- Support production yield goals by accurately identifying and resolving assembly issues.
- Assist test engineering with data evaluation to improve diagnostic efficiency.
- Follow production requirements, safety rules, security procedures, and work instructions.
- Work as part of a team in a manufacturing diagnostics environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience diagnosing, testing, or repairing electronic assemblies, circuit boards, PCBAs, or comparable electronic hardware.
- Ability to use electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation such as schematics, BOMs, test procedures, work instructions, or debug materials.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and comfort working through technical problems.
- Basic computer skills, including use of Windows-based systems and related software.
- Ability to document work clearly and follow production, safety, and quality procedures.
- Ability to work onsite in Florence, KY.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, repair depot, avionics, telecom hardware, industrial controls, or similar technical environments.
- Component-level troubleshooting or repair experience.
- Familiarity with in-circuit testing, boundary scan, failure analysis, soldering, rework, or production test environments.
- Technical training, electronics coursework, military electronics training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Compensation and Work Model:
- Pay: $21/hr. – 31/hr.
- Location: Onsite in Florence, KY
- Openings: 9
- Start: ASAP, pending drug test and background check
- Assignment length: Currently listed through 08/31/2026
- Schedule: Standard schedule anticipated, exact hours to be confirmed
