Job Description
A well-established international financial institution is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join its residential lending team in Miami. This individual will be responsible for managing mortgage loan files from application through closing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and an exceptional borrower experience.
The ideal candidate has prior experience processing residential mortgage loans in a banking or mortgage lending environment, is highly organized, and can effectively manage multiple files in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Process residential mortgage loan files from application through closing.
- Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Request, collect, and verify borrower documentation including income, assets, employment, and credit information.
- Order and monitor third-party services such as appraisals, title work, flood certifications, and insurance.
- Work closely with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and borrowers to ensure timely loan closings.
- Satisfy underwriting conditions and maintain accurate loan documentation.
- Ensure all files comply with federal, state, investor, and internal lending guidelines.
- Maintain communication with all parties throughout the loan process and provide regular status updates.
- Manage multiple loans simultaneously while meeting service level expectations.
- Assist with post-closing or quality control requests as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of mortgage loan processing experience.
- Experience processing Conventional, FHA, and VA loans preferred.
- Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, and mortgage compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, underwriting conditions, and loan processing workflows.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize a high-volume pipeline and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with mortgage loan origination systems (LOS) and Microsoft Office.
- Banking experience is preferred.
