Job Description — Diagnostic Technician

Title: Diagnostic Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician with experience in electronics troubleshooting, testing, and repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing hardware issues, performing failure analysis, and working with electronic assemblies in a manufacturing or production environment.

This role is responsible for troubleshooting complex electronic systems, identifying root causes of failures, performing repairs, and ensuring products meet quality and performance standards before shipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies and equipment.
  • Analyze failed units and determine root causes using schematics, test procedures, and diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct functional testing and verification of repaired products.
  • Troubleshoot PCB-level issues and electronic components.
  • Use tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test equipment.
  • Perform soldering, component replacement, and board-level repairs as needed.
  • Document failures, repairs, and test results accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Follow quality standards, safety procedures, and production requirements.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts to reduce repeat failures.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Test Technician, Repair Technician, or similar role.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic systems, circuit boards, or hardware assemblies.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
  • Experience with PCB troubleshooting, soldering, and component-level repair preferred.
  • Familiarity with test equipment including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, aerospace, medical devices, or contract manufacturing environments preferred.
