A well-established general contracting firm in Manhattan is seeking a Controller to join its team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end billing and accounts payable across all vendors—invoicing, payouts, reconciliation, and timely payments
• Ensure revenue is accurate, traceable, and complete
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, including bank/credit card accounts and monthly accruals, investigating and resolving variances
• File, pay, and record tax obligations accurately and on time across multiple states
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close, maintaining clean, current books
• Assist with preparation of consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and partner with the CFO on investor-ready reporting
• Identify and implement process improvements, streamlining workflows and strengthening internal controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of relevant construction accounting experience
