Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst – AI & Automation to support complex global supply chain and sourcing initiatives through data analytics, process improvement, and automation.

This role will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define business problems, analyze data, and develop fact-based recommendations that support strategic decisions. The Senior Business Analyst will also lead small to medium AI and automation initiatives designed to reduce manual work, improve data handling, streamline reporting, and increase overall process efficiency.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working independently, and experienced in applying technology, AI-enabled tools, and automation to solve practical business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own analytical workstreams from problem definition through final recommendations and implementation support.

  • Gather, clean, structure, and analyze data across sourcing, procurement, and supply chain systems.

  • Conduct spend analysis, cost-benefit analysis, financial modeling, and scenario comparisons.

  • Translate complex findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations, including risks and tradeoffs.

  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track sourcing and supply chain performance.

  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to sourcing, supply chain, reporting, and analytical processes.

  • Design and implement small to medium automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.

  • Automate repeatable activities such as data preparation, reporting, bid analysis, intake processes, and workflows.

  • Develop reusable templates, scripts, and automated workflows to improve consistency and scalability.

  • Support pilot programs for new AI and automation tools and help scale successful solutions.

  • Support sourcing initiatives, including RFP development, bid evaluation, analysis, and implementation.

  • Partner with sourcing and category teams to provide analytical support across multiple spend categories.

  • Create process maps to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain standardized workflows, templates, and operating procedures.

  • Partner with stakeholders to support the adoption of new tools, automation, and improved processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • Experience supporting sourcing, supply chain, finance, or analytical initiatives.

  • Strong experience with data analysis, reporting, and business analytics.

  • Experience independently managing analytical workstreams from start to finish.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.

  • Experience using AI-enabled tools for data analysis, reporting, or workflow improvement.

  • Experience with automation tools, including macros, scripting, or workflow automation platforms.

  • Ability to identify and implement practical, small-scale automation solutions.

  • Basic SQL or data querying experience preferred.

  • Python experience is a plus.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex data and findings clearly to business stakeholders.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across sourcing, supply chain, finance, technology, and other cross-functional teams.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis and data skills with a practical understanding of AI and automation. You should be comfortable identifying inefficient processes, developing solutions, and using technology to improve how teams analyze information and complete repeatable work. This role is well suited for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage projects and analytical workstreams with limited supervision.
