About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis for an anticipated 3–6 month assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys working collaboratively while maintaining accuracy in financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Scan and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Review purchase price variances and investigate payment discrepancies.
• Maintain and update customer and vendor records, including name, address, and account changes.
• Respond professionally to vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account information.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and established accounting procedures.
• Assist with general accounts payable and administrative functions as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience.
• Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) experience is required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
• Experience operating standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, and 10-key calculators.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
