Overview
- A fast-growing, data-driven company is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to build and maintain the systems that turn data into real business results.
- In this senior role, you will work directly with executive leadership to harness raw data and transform it into scalable data systems, reporting, and high-impact insights.
- You will help build a data program nearly from the ground up and deliver analytics that directly drive revenue, inform strategy, and accelerate growth.
- This is a highly visible role reporting to the CEO and supporting the full C-suite.
- If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love translating complexity into clarity, and want your work to directly shape company strategy, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the executive reporting suite: dashboards, KPI trackers, and ad hoc analyses for the CEO, C-suite, and marketing leadership.
- Develop a reporting framework that goes beyond first-touch and last-touch attribution to explain how email, paid media, and other touchpoints contribute to the full customer journey and growth levers.
- Proactively surface insights that help leadership anticipate where the business is going, not just report on where it has been, and turn those insights into revenue drivers.
- Enhance existing dashboards primarily in Looker and leverage additional tools (including AI interfaces) to complete executive and marketing reporting.
- Connect systems to generate tables in BigQuery and other tools that serve as master data sources powering visualization tools such as Looker.
- Write complex SQL from scratch (CTEs, window functions, joins, aggregations) to build, maintain, and troubleshoot datasets in BigQuery, transforming raw data into usable tables.
- Work with FiveTran and Segment to support data pipelines in collaboration with the data engineer.
- Partner with the data engineering team to design tables, build pipelines, and establish scalable data practices that minimize errors and ensure confidence in reporting.
- Present findings directly to the CEO and C-level team and own the narrative from data pull through to executive briefing.
- Work across departments as a senior resource to solve problems, answer business questions, support campaign maintenance, and enable deep segmentation and analysis.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical senior leaders.
- Maintain the data dictionary, document reporting logic, and keep analytics assets organized, reproducible, and versioned.
- Balance competing data requests from multiple C-suite members and communicate priorities clearly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar analytics role.
- At least one (1) year of experience working directly with or supporting C-level executives.
- Proven proficiency writing complex SQL from scratch, including CTEs, window functions, joins, and aggregations.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery as a data warehouse, including best practices in data analysis and data engineering.
- Experience building production dashboards and reports in Looker, Google Data Studio, or a comparable BI platform.
- Familiarity with FiveTran and Segment for data ingestion and pipeline management.
- Experience collaborating with a data team to design, build, and maintain a governed, source-of-truth data foundation.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand executive and marketing needs and solve for them with data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical leaders clearly and confidently.
- Experience using Google Sheets and Excel for ad hoc executive deliverables.
