Our client, a leading national real estate developer is hiring for a Senior Accountant to join it's Miami Headquarters (Coral Gables) as soon as possible.  The company specializes in commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate across the United States. This is an on-site role based in Coral Gables 5 days/week.  The position will be a key part of a 10-person accounting & finance team.  

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of Accounting and Finance experience, preferably from the real estate or construction industry.  Daily responsibilities include posting JE's, GL Maintenance, assisting with Month-End and Year-End Close, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing.  

Responsibilities

• Ensure business transactions are correctly logged into GL and reported in accordance with GAAP
• Work closely with team members to assist with Month-End and Year-End Close
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
• Research and analyze expense variances for company management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' of professional accounting experience
• Relevant industry experience (real estate, construction, etc.) highly preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics 
• CPA preferred (not required)
