Logistics Generalist – Temp-to-Perm

Location: Hialeah, FL 33018
Schedule: Monday–Friday | On-site
Pay: $22–$27/hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Generalist to join a fast-paced logistics and transportation operation in Hialeah. This is a hands-on role supporting domestic transportation, truckload scheduling, drayage, container movements, shipment tracking, and day-to-day coordination with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or supply chain and is looking for a long-term opportunity with room to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate domestic truckload shipments

• Coordinate drayage and container transportation

• Manage delivery appointments and logistics activity

• Track shipments and maintain accurate shipment visibility

• Communicate with carriers, trucking companies, warehouses, and internal teams

• Coordinate dock scheduling and utilization

• Verify shipping and transportation documentation for accuracy

• Monitor container movements and ensure shipments remain on schedule

• Follow up with carriers and vendors regarding shipment status

• Troubleshoot transportation delays, discrepancies, and other logistics issues

• Maintain accurate and organized logistics records

Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or supply chain

• Experience coordinating domestic trucking and/or truckload shipments

• Knowledge of drayage and container movements preferred

• Experience working directly with carriers and trucking companies

• Strong shipment tracking and transportation documentation skills

• Salesforce experience is a plus

• Import/export or international logistics experience is a plus

• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working in a hands-on individual contributor role
