The Opportunity

Ascendo Resources is seeking an Office Manager / Bookkeeper for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization in Orlando. This role combines day-to-day office management with hands-on bookkeeping responsibilities, making it a great fit for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records while keeping office operations organized and supporting leadership.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily office operations and maintain an organized, efficient workplace

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment processing

• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations

• Maintain the general ledger and support month-end and year-end close

• Process payroll or coordinate with the company's payroll provider

• Prepare financial reports and cash flow summaries

• Assist with budgeting and other financial reporting needs

• Manage office supplies, vendors, and facility-related needs

• Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and visitor inquiries

• Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and provide administrative support to leadership

• Organize and maintain company, financial, and confidential records

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, office management, or a similar role

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy

• High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
