Candidates must currently reside in the New York City metropolitan area and be able to commute to the designated office location. Candidates outside the NYC metropolitan area will not be considered.

Overview
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join an Investment Technology team supporting applications used by investment professionals.
This is an opportunity to work across the full development lifecycle while building applications at the intersection of software engineering, financial markets, data, and generative AI. You will work closely with experienced engineers, product teams, and investment professionals to develop scalable applications and services.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and enhance applications supporting trading, portfolio management, and investment analytics.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Python, with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Dash, or Streamlit.
- Develop responsive user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Work across the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Design and optimize SQL schemas, queries, and data models.
- Work with Snowflake and MS SQL Server to support data-intensive applications.
- Develop unit, integration, and data tests using tools such as pytest or unittest.
- Use Git and Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, and CI/CD.
- Deploy and support containerized applications using Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
- Work with microservices and distributed systems.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance, reliability, and observability.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical design discussions, and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and investment professionals to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Use modern AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code while maintaining strong independent coding and debugging skills.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience, ideally in a full stack environment.
- Python development experience with REST API development.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, Dash, or Streamlit.
- Experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, schema design, and data modeling.
- Experience with Snowflake, MS SQL Server, or a similar database platform.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and data tests.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or another container orchestration platform.
- Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services, capital markets, fintech, or investment technology.
- Understanding of equities, stocks, ETFs, derivatives, trading, portfolio management, or investment workflows.
- Exposure to generative AI or LLM-based applications.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
