Our client in Altamonte Springs, FL is hiring a Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule. This is a great opportunity to join a growing organization in a hands-on accounting role with the potential to transition to a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and analyze account variances
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting as needed
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Assist with audits and maintain accurate financial records
• Collaborate with internal teams to support day-to-day accounting operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
• Experience with QuickBooks; Sage experience is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
