Senior Warehouse Supervisor

Compensation: $65,000 base salary

Position Overview

An established medical device organization is seeking a Senior Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehouse, service-parts, and inventory operations at its Jacksonville facility.

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate, traceable, and audit-ready inventory while ensuring medical device products, service parts, and accessories move efficiently from receipt through storage, deployment, return, and disposition. The Senior Warehouse Supervisor will also lead warehouse personnel and partner closely with Service, Field Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Support, and Operations.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on warehouse leadership with strong inventory-control expertise, ERP/WMS fluency, and the ability to build relationships and secure operational buy-in across departments. Medical device experience is strongly preferred, although experience with comparable regulated, serialized, or technical products will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse and Service-Parts Operations

• Lead daily warehouse operations involving medical device products, service parts, accessories, and related inventory
• Oversee receiving, inspection coordination, storage, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, transfers, returns, and inventory movements
• Manage the product and parts lifecycle from receipt through deployment, return, and disposition
• Ensure products and parts are properly identified, labeled, stored, tracked, handled, and documented
• Maintain product and critical service-parts availability to support field service, installations, sales, and customer requirements
• Help establish appropriate stocking strategies and minimum and maximum inventory levels
• Monitor shortages, stock-outs, excess inventory, obsolete inventory, and critical service components
• Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and audit-ready warehouse environment

Inventory Control

• Own warehouse inventory accuracy and cycle-count execution
• Establish and maintain cycle-count schedules based on inventory value, criticality, and transaction volume
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts
• Reconcile physical inventory against ERP/WMS records
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain appropriate controls for serialized, lot-controlled, regulated, or high-value inventory
• Support annual physical inventories and internal or external audits
• Identify opportunities to reduce recurring discrepancies and improve inventory reliability

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Build strong working relationships with Service, Field Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Support, and Operations
• Coordinate across departments to maintain product and parts availability
• Resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, shipment issues, returns, and workflow bottlenecks
• Build leadership buy-in for inventory controls, process improvements, and warehouse priorities
• Communicate operational risks, performance trends, and resource needs clearly to leadership

Systems, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

• Maintain timely and accurate warehouse transactions within ERP/WMS systems
• Ensure receipts, transfers, shipments, returns, counts, and inventory adjustments are processed correctly
• Monitor operational metrics such as inventory accuracy, cycle-count accuracy, parts availability, stock-outs, inventory turns, excess and obsolete inventory, on-time shipping, and warehouse productivity
• Provide regular operational reporting to Service and Operations leadership
• Use data and root-cause analysis to improve inventory accuracy, workflow, productivity, and customer support
• Develop and reinforce standard work across warehouse and inventory processes

Team Leadership

• Supervise, coach, train, and develop warehouse and inventory employees
• Establish daily priorities and assign work based on business requirements and employee capabilities
• Monitor productivity, quality, attendance, safety, and adherence to established procedures
• Train employees on product handling, inventory control, warehouse processes, quality requirements, and ERP/WMS transactions
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer service

Required Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in warehouse, inventory, parts, logistics, distribution, or service operations
• At least two years of supervisory or team-lead experience
• Strong inventory-control and cycle-count experience, including discrepancy investigation and reconciliation
• Experience managing service parts, technical products, regulated products, or similarly traceability-sensitive inventory
• Hands-on experience using an ERP, WMS, or inventory-management system
• Strong understanding of receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory transactions
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, establish priorities, coach performance, and maintain accountability
• Strong cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills
• Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving ability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, on-site warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical devices, diagnostics, laboratory products, ophthalmic equipment, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or another regulated industry
• Experience managing technical service parts that support field service teams or an installed equipment base
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA quality-system requirements, or comparable regulated operating standards
• Experience with serialized or lot-controlled products and components
• Experience supporting audits, corrective actions, and traceability requirements
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or a comparable ERP platform
• Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement experience
