A well-established national distribution company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team.

What You'll Do:

• Review general ledger activity and prepare month-end closing entries, with a focus on inventory and gross margin accounts
• Analyze complex financial data using PowerBI and Alteryx to reconcile subledger and general ledger data sets
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
• Research and resolve account discrepancies
• Partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, FP&A, and Operations to support the close process
• Help lead best practice initiatives to standardize and scale accounting processes
• Perform variance analyses and investigate material trends
• Support interim and annual audits, including preparing schedules and coordinating with other departments
• Prepare financial statement footnotes for bank reporting
• Assist with documenting accounting processes and internal controls
• Coordinate accounting projects across teams and departments
• Participate in system implementations and ad hoc projects

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally a mix of public and private
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with high data volumes
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
