Overview
We are looking for a Core Banking Support Specialist (bilingual in Spanish) with a background supporting technology within a bank, credit union, or regulated financial institution. This is a hands-on role supporting core banking operations, internal users, system issues, enhancements, testing, and third-party banking technology vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and troubleshoot core banking systems and applications.
- Resolve escalated issues involving transaction failures, system errors, account discrepancies, and other core banking problems.
- Manage incidents from initial report through resolution and communicate updates to internal users.
- Work directly with core banking vendors and third-party technology providers.
- Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts for new features and system changes.
- Support system administration, analysis, troubleshooting, and implementation activities.
- Create technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and internal procedures.
- Coordinate with IT Operations, Infrastructure, Software Services, Security, Product Managers, and business teams.
- Support technology projects from requirements gathering through testing and deployment.
- Assist with change management for banking applications and systems.
Required Experience:
- Bilingual in Spanish is a MUST
- 4+ years of progressive IT systems support experience within a bank, credit union, or regulated financial institution.
- Direct, hands-on experience supporting or administering a core banking platform such as Temenos T24, Fiserv, FIS, Jack Henry, Finastra, or a similar system.
- Strong understanding of core banking products and operations, including deposits, checking/current accounts, savings, retail and commercial lending/credit, and General Ledger integrations
- Knowledge of payment infrastructure, including SWIFT, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Experience with UAT, incident management, troubleshooting, system administration, and business requirements.
- Experience working directly with third-party banking technology vendors.
- Strong communication skills and experience working across technical and business teams.
