Accounting Clerk (Temp-to-Perm)

Location: Clark, NJ (Fully On-Site)
Compensation: $25–$28/hour during contract; $55,000/$60,000 annually upon permanent conversion
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexible start times of 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, or 9:00 AM

About the Opportunity

Our client, an established family-owned manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking an Accounting Clerk for a temp-to-perm opportunity to join its growing finance team. With approximately 70 years in business and products sold through major retailers and online marketplaces, the company is continuing to expand and has created this position to support its growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level accounting professional or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounting, work closely with finance leadership, and grow into a permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

• Assist with bank and account reconciliations.

• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities.

• Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and data analysis.

• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

• Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting.

• Provide general accounting support across the finance team as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field from a U.S.-based, in-person academic program.

• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn.

• Interest in gaining exposure to multiple accounting functions rather than specializing exclusively in AP or AR.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

• Ability to work fully on-site in Clark, NJ.
