Regional Quality Program Manager — Electrical Construction

About the opportunity

Ascendo Resources is partnering with an electrical construction organization to recruit a Regional Quality Program Manager in Tampa, Florida.

This opportunity is well suited to an experienced electrical Project Manager who has taken ownership of quality, led field teams, and built strong relationships with clients and construction partners. You’ll apply that experience in a role focused on guiding quality execution across multiple projects, improving processes, and keeping leadership informed.

Approximately 80% of the role is office-based. You’ll work closely with project leaders and field personnel to establish expectations, monitor performance, resolve issues, and support successful inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover.

Candidates nationwide are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

  • Lead quality oversight across electrical construction projects, translating specifications and client requirements into clear execution plans.

  • Guide and develop field quality personnel, coordinating responsibilities with project managers, superintendents, and other construction leaders.

  • Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection and test plans, checklists, and project turnover documentation.

  • Review installation quality, project records, and performance data to identify issues and ensure corrective actions are completed.

  • Coordinate inspection, testing, commissioning readiness, and acceptance activities with project teams and external stakeholders.

  • Present clear updates to clients, general contractors, and senior leadership, including progress, outstanding issues, risks, and resolution plans.

  • Improve consistency across projects through practical procedures, lessons learned, training, and repeatable quality standards.

  • Support electrical safety and energization readiness through coordination with the personnel responsible for field execution.

Required qualifications

  • Five or more years of quality oversight experience in critical infrastructure or complex electrical construction, including experience gained within a Project Manager position.

  • Experience managing electrical field personnel, quality teams, or project execution teams with responsibility for installation quality and issue resolution.

  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, specifications, submittals, and project requirements.

  • Working knowledge of electrical installations, power distribution, applicable electrical codes, and NFPA 70E safety principles.

  • Understanding of inspection, testing, commissioning activities, and the documentation needed for project acceptance and turnover.

  • Strong communication skills, including experience leading meetings and explaining project status and technical issues to clients and management.

  • Strong organization, computer, and documentation skills, with the ability to coordinate priorities across multiple projects.

Electrical Project Managers who have owned quality responsibilities as part of their broader construction leadership experience are encouraged to apply.

Preferred qualifications

  • Data center project experience. Candidates from healthcare, industrial, and other complex electrical construction environments are also welcome; prior data center experience is not required.

  • Experience developing quality procedures, improving documentation, or standardizing execution across multiple projects.

  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or comparable construction and quality-management platforms.

  • Experience supporting electrical commissioning, operational-facility projects, or critical power systems.

Compensation and work model

  • Annual salary: $160,000–$180,000, with potential flexibility up to approximately $200,000 based on relevant experience.

  • Location: Tampa, Florida.

  • Employment: Full-time.

  • Work arrangement: Approximately 80% office-based, with project-site involvement.

  • Travel: Approximately 3–4 days per month.

  • Relocation: Assistance available for candidates relocating to the Tampa area.
