We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented legal assistant to join our law firm. The legal assistant will support our attorneys in all stages of the legal process, from conducting research and drafting legal documents to communicating with clients and scheduling court appearances.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trial and trial support, including witness preparation and document management
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other parties as directed by the attorney
  • Maintain client files and calendars, ensuring all deadlines and appointments are met
  • Prepare legal briefs, motions, and other legal documents
  • Coordinate with court clerks, process servers, and other parties to ensure timely filings and filings are received and filed
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining files, and handling correspondence

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field
  • At least 1 + years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
  • Strong research and writing skills, including experience with legal research databases and drafting legal documents
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and legal software
