Payroll Administrator (Fully Remote | Must Reside in Tennessee | $23 - $25 per hour)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team! This fully remote role is open to candidates residing in Tennessee and offers competitive pay along with the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where accuracy and compliance are top priorities.

 

Duration: Contract for 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls, ensuring timely payments.
  • Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy.
  • Handle payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and retirement contributions.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local laws (FLSA, FICA, IRS). Generate and submit payroll reports.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries, resolving discrepancies and providing guidance on pay, taxes, and deductions.
  • Maintain confidential payroll records, ensuring proper documentation and storage.
  • Utilize payroll software (ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar) to process payroll efficiently. Suggest process improvements for increased accuracy.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 and 1099 processing. Collaborate with HR and Finance for audits and compliance checks.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must reside in Tennessee
  • 2+ years of payroll experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

💰 Pay Rate: $24 - $27 per hour
🌍 Work Setup: 100% Remote (Tennessee residents only)
